Marriage and Relationship Coaching
Is your marriage struggling?
Are you feeling stuck in misunderstandings and conflict and need help?
Couple’s Coaching can help you improve communication and address conflict constructively. Whatever your issues are, we can address them in couple’s and/or individual relationship coaching.
I’ll help you learn new tools and develop skills for creating healthy satisfying relationships in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
I am passionate about teaching people how to improve their interpersonal relationships. It’s very rewarding to be a part of people’s lives as they discover how to enhance their self-awareness and figure out how their thoughts, emotions and needs drive the way they behave and communicate.
I’m so glad you’re here at Couples Coaching Corner and I look forward to working with you.
Creating Happy Lasting Relationships
Would you like help creating a strong, happy, and healthy marriage?
Not surprisingly, people do not inherently know how to create the relationships they so strongly desire. We often speak and behave in a non-productive manner, not out of malice necessarily, but because we’re often operating on “auto-pilot” so we don’t realize it.
In Couples coaching, you’ll learn why we do that and how to make positive changes. It’s part of working on personal growth, self- awareness, and developing new skills.
“There is a wonderful mythical law of nature that the three things we crave most in life – happiness, freedom, and peace of mind – are always attained by giving them to someone else” ~ Peyton Conway March (US General – World War I )
Faith-based or Traditional Services
Couple’s Coaching and Mediation services can be provided in a faith-based or traditional/secular framework.
Faith-based and traditional coaching and mediation follow essentially the same structure. Faith-based incorporates prayer and biblical principles.
I have studied Christian Conciliation and conflict coaching through Peace Maker Ministries, so I am comfortable providing you with whichever framework you prefer.
Relationship Coaching
The relationship coaching I provide draws primarily on John Gottman and Nan Silver’s book, The Seven Principals for Making Marriage Work. I am an approved Gottman Seven Principals Leader.
The Gottman Method is based on 40+ years of research where Dr. Gottman and his team observed thousands of couples interact. From his extensive research, Dr. Gottman has identified the seven principles for making marriage work. I’ll help you to understand and practice those principles and learn to avoid the pitfalls that lead to unhappiness and break-ups.
My relationship coaching also draws upon: (1) Dr. Marshall Rosenberg’s book and body of work, Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life. Dr. Rosenberg teaches about the relationship amongst our met and unmet needs, our feelings and consequently our behavior and words we speak; and (2) Dr. Daniel Goleman’s book Emotional Intelligence.
Find Me On
Mediation is an efficient and effective means for resolving most conflict and disputes. I understand that being involved in a dispute can be very stressful and disruptive to one’s life. I enjoy having the privilege of helping people resolve their disputes so that they can put the matter behind them and move forward with their lives.
A skilled mediator can help you with your divorce or post-divorce conflict without destroying each other, your children, and your finances.
Mediation is appropriate for a wide range of issues, including:
- Divorce Mediation (Parenting Plans/Property division/Child support/Spousal support)
- Post-divorce Mediation – Co-parenting Conflict
- Employment/Workplace Mediation
Why Choose Mediation?
- Save time and money, mediation costs a fraction of paying opposing attorneys and going to court.
- Maintain control over your family matters.
- Avoid ugly courtroom battles and the uncertainty of a judge’s ruling.
- Preserve your emotional health – Reduce stress for you and your children.
